Syracuse Summer Theatre at The Oncenter Presents PIPPIN

Syracuse Summer Theatre at the Oncenter follows on the success of their two previous summer offerings, Cabaret and Spring Awakening, by presenting Stephen Schwartz's musical Pippin July 20 - August 5 at The Oncenter BeVard Studio (590 S. State Street).

Pippin follows the coming-of-age experiences of Prince Pippin, son of King Charlemagne. Presented by a troupe of traveling 'players' led by the enigmatic and alluring Leading Player, Pippin navigates war, sex, politics, and love. Stephen Schwartz's memorable score includes Corner of the Sky, Morning Glow, and Magic to Do. Originally premiering on Broadway in 1972, Pippin received a Tony award-winning Broadway revival in 2013. Liam Collins will play the role of Pippin, with Joshua Kimball as the Leading Player. Stage direction is by Garrett Heater, music direction by Dan Williams, and choreography by Jodi Bova-Mele.
